I should be doing homework right now, but I needed a break. I still haven’t gotten used to the workload of being a third year university student. I’ll manage to slog through it somehow, though. Hopefully I’ll get more used to the routine before next term starts.

October 9: Peter and Gina came up for Thanksgiving. We drove to Prince Edward County and visited The Grange vineyard. We tasted what they had to offer and walked around a bit on the grounds, which were pretty. They had picked a lot of grapes the night before and were crushing them with some fancy grape-crushing equipment. Not as romantic as stomping on them barefoot in a barrel, but I guess I wouldn’t want to drink foot wine anyway.

October 10: Christine cooked Thanksgiving dinner by herself this year. It was very good. She made an especially nice chocolate torte for dessert. We spent the evening hanging out and talking, and we watched a couple episodes of Trailer Park Boys. Peter liked Doug’s MoMo wheels from Italy. Celine and I had fun trying to take pictures of each other’s cameras as the flashes were going off.

October 16: I moved to a new floor in the residence. A couple of hooligans had moved in next to me on the 14th floor and I realized that I was staying on a floor where smoking is permitted. Now I’m on the 16th floor.

October 23: Christine, Celine, and I went to Lemoine Point to walk around and enjoy the fall colours. We also picked up the GeoPoker container and moved it to RMC. We had never been to this part of the campus before and we enjoyed the view and the local history. I should come back here some time when the museum is open.
